Bible Study

The Bible is our principle platform for our encounters with the Almighty Who has something precious to say to us, and we must hear it excitedly! We are to get into God’s Word because it is the framework of the Living God. His principles, calls, and plans for us to know, grow, prosper in our lives and churches are in its pages. We must do our best to immerse ourselves to meet Him, to know Him, to internalize His precepts and live them out for His glory and our mutual benefit. Therefore, we must listen, learn, and do…

Our Ground Rules.
B= The BIBLE PASSAGE, and not the leader of the group, is the focus of the study.
I= We are not here to debate INTERPRETATION, but to read the scripture and share INSIGHTS.
B= We invite you to adopt a BEGINNER’s MIND, so that you hear the text as if it were for the first time.
L= Our LEADERS are not experts. They are but facilitators who lead us in a process in which the inspiration from scripture can be shared and celebrated.
E= We are all EQUALS before the text regardless of our background,
because insights come to us when our unique EXPERIENCE intersects the scripture.
Keep all personal information confidential.
We look forward to having you join us. Opportunities for questions and contributions are provided.

The Bible is the source of:

  • Truth: “Sanctify them by Your truth; Your word is truth” (John 17:17).
  • God’s blessing: “But He said, ‘More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it'” (Luke 11:28).
  • Victory: “…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17).
  • Growth: “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word that you may grow thereby” (1 Pet. 2:2).
  • Power: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” (Rom. 1:16).
  • Guidance: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Ps. 119:105).

Join us on Friday at 6:00pm for bible study.

Congratulations and God’s blessing to all those celebrating birthday in this month of January.

May the Lord shower His mercies and honor upon you. Amen

Membership Orientation

Purpose of Membership Orientation:

The Purpose of the New Members Ministry is to:

  • Help members who unite with Agape Christian Center family to become acquainted with the history and overall ministry of the church.
  • Encourage New Members to move beyond a “positional membership” in the universal Church of Jesus Christ to a “participating membership” in Agape Christian Center body of Christ.

Orientation Classes: After uniting with Agape Christian Center, New Members are required to attend new member orientation which consists of 4 sessions. These sessions are held on consecutive Sundays from 9:00-10:00 am.

The Definition of Church Membership:

When an individual is saved, he becomes a member of the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:13). Because he is united to Christ and the other members of the body in this way, he is therefore qualified to become member of a local expression of that body.

To become a member of a church is to formally commit oneself to an identifiable, local body of believers who have joined together for specific, divinely ordained purposes. These purposes include receiving instruction from God’s Word (1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 4:2), serving and edifying one another through the proper use of spiritual gifts (Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:4-31; 1 Pet. 4:10-11), participating in the ordinances (Luke 22:19; Acts 2:38-42), and proclaiming the gospel to those who are lost (Matt. 28:18- 20). In addition, when one becomes a member of a church, he submits himself to the care and the authority of the biblically qualified Leaders that God has placed in that assembly.

Living out a commitment to a local church involves many responsibilities: exemplifying a godly lifestyle in the community, exercising one’s spiritual gifts in diligent service, contributing financially to the work of the ministry, giving and receiving admonishment with meekness and in love, and faithfully participating in corporate worship. Much is expected, but much is at stake. For only when every believer is faithful to this kind of commitment is the church able to live up to her calling as Christ’s representative here on earth. To put it simply, membership matters.

Member’s Profile: When accessing your profile, a person will enter their email address. If that email address exists in our database, we’ll email you a one-time user access code that helps to validate your identity. This access code grants you access to your profile (and the profiles of your family members). Members will be able to view and edit their ChurchTrac Online profile (birthday, address, phone numbers, etc.). This will allows members and donors view their contribution history, membership directories, and calendar lists:  Click here to access your church profile:
